Sam is a dedicated legal professional recognized for his expertise in trust law and corporate governance. With a deep background in managing complex legal frameworks and outside counsel relationships, he serves as a pivotal advisor to Eastern Point’s executive leadership and cross-functional business teams.

Currently serving as Vice President and Corporate Counsel, Sam is instrumental in the development and delivery of Eastern Point’s industry-leading trust structures. His approach focuses on two pivotal areas:

  • Trust Innovation and Administration: Sam supports the day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives for Eastern Point’s premier service lines, including Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs) and the Plaintiff Recovery Trust (PRT). He excels in researching, drafting, and negotiating commercial and trust-related documentation to ensure seamless administration for clients.
  • Corporate Governance and Regulatory Oversight: Sam provides critical guidance on regulatory considerations and corporate governance. His work ensures that Eastern Point’s domestic and international operations remain at the forefront of compliance and ethical standards.

Sam is a member of the Virginia Bar. He earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science and Government from the College of William and Mary.
